SANTHIMANDIRAM MISSION:

Santhimandiram, Secunderabad Mission is one of the esteem Mission field of Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association in the Chennai-Bangalore Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church which is situated in the twin city of Hyderabad-Secunderabad in Telangana State, very near to the AOC Military base of Indian Army. The mission activities and evangelistic work initiated among the undivided Andhra Pradesh region in the year of 1954especially for the Telugu speaking community and became the mother institution for the several Mission Centres emerged in Andhra and Telangana. The Santhimandiram Mission consist of a beautiful church for Telugu congregation having 40 families, 30 seekers and Dr. Mathews Mar Athanasius Memorial boy’s hostel with 13 students from 5^th to 10^th class and a community hall which exists in the mission campus. We praise God almighty for enabling us to provide good education for the deserving students through our Boys hostel. Many of our students are coming forward with good scores and doing higher studies and holding good positions in society and especially thank God for getting selection for one of our Santhimandiram Boy’s Hostel alumni student for the Theological studies at Kottayam Mar Thoma Theological Seminary. This mission is actively involved in the spiritual needs of the Telugu community and also supporting various social and economic upliftment and awareness programs in the nearby villages with a radius of 40km in and around of Hyderabad – Secunderabad twin city.

Santhimandiram Mission is engaged to foster the Spiritual growth of believers through Telugu Worship and Holy Communion, Sunday school, Youth meeting, Cottage Prayer meeting, Fasting Prayers, Special Prayer meeting in villages, Christmas Carols, Watch Night and New year Service, Lenten Prayer & Lenten Devotions, Convention in Telugu, running of the Dr. Mathews Mar Athanasius Memorial Boys Hostel, Education and Marriage Aid, Medical Aid, Independence Day and Republic Day Celebrations, Village Ministry, One Day Income Collection, Good Samaritan Fund, and running tuition centers etc.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, our Boys Hostel premises and facilities in Santhimandiram Campus were allocated as Home Isolation and Quarantine Center for the benefits of our believers and local community. Also conducted Covid Vaccination Drive at Santhimandiram Mission Campus and distributed grocery kits for the needy during and after the Lockdown period. The 68^th Santhimandiram Mission Day and Telugu Convention was observed on 16^st October2022 at mission campus. The Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association (MTEA), The Chennai-Bangalore Diocese, The Parishes and the Members of Hyderabad-Secunderabad Centre & Santhimandiram Mission LAC has a very active role in the smooth running of Santhimandiram Secunderabad Mar Thoma Mission and whole heartedly expresses its sincere gratitude to the supporters who partake through prayers, presence and financial assistance.
