NARASAPURAM MISSION:
Mar Thoma Mission, Narasapuram under the leadership of Chengannur – Mavelikara Diocese has been engaging in sharing the love of God among the villagers for the past 29 years. The mission consists of six parishes including Narasapuram St. Thomas MTC, Mukundapuram St. Mathew’s MTC, Bachepally St. Luke MTC, Mittapallee St. Peter’s MTC, Kanapuram St. Johns MTC and Harinagaram Mar Thoma Congregation. Narasapuram St. Thomas Mar Thoma English Medium High School, Ahobilam St. Thomas Mar Thoma Pre – Primary School, Bachepally St. Thomas Mar Thoma Pre – Primary School, Bala Nivas Boys Hostel, Shanthi Ashram Old Age Home and Tailoring School are other activities of the mission.
Regular worship services, prayer meetings, harvest festivals, whole night prayer, Sunday school, youth meeting, women’s fellowship, evangelists’ family fellowship, Convention meetings, Bible study classes and VBS are held for the spiritual nourishment of the faith community. Members of the mission actively participated in the Telugu Maramon meeting held at Maramon Convention 2024. A quiz competition was arranged in memory of Dr. O. U. George in which 16 teams from various parishes in Rayal Seema region participated. Medical camps were arranged in connection with Chagalamarri Christian Fellowship Mission hospital for the villagersin every parish. 24-hour Ambulance service and medical aids are available in mission for the needy. Every 5th Sunday is observed as Good Samaritan Sunday, in which a special offertory is collected and used for the poor and needy. Education support is provided for students (about 400) from16 villages through mission’s Balawadis.
Alter ‘Nativity’ Story is a new effort of Narasapuram Mar Thoma Mission by gifting a pregnancy gift hamper to a pregnant woman in and around Narasapuram Mission Community through Primary Health Centres. This attempt is inspired by the biblical story of Mary, who became a supportive friend to Elizabeth during her pregnancy. Our mission focuses indeveloping the people socially, economically and educationally through educational support, medical aid, marriage aid, agriculture aid and housing aid.
Rev. Jibin Mathew Joy and Rev. David John Varghese serves as Missionaries. and Evg. T. Vijayakumar, Evg. K. Yesu Babu, Evg. M. Samuel, Evg. K. Nagaraj and Evg. Habel serves as evangelists and are leading the mission activities.
