The Coimbatore Mar Thoma Students’ Ministry under the Chennai – Bangalore diocese aims to nurture spirituality and keep the youths connected to the faith of the church. The Students’ Chaplain made visits to colleges regularly and connect them with the church activities. The Chaplain spent time praying with the students and assisted and guided while facing issues and problems related to their admission, permissions from the college for worship, accommodation facilities, etc. Regular meetings are conducted for students and youths at Coimbatore Mar Thoma Church after the Sunday worship service. Holy Communion services were held at Karunya Nagar for the students of Karunya University, Holy Innocent’s Orthodox Chapel and at St. Thomas CSI Chapel. An online Bible Quiz was conducted for the Mar Thoma college students of Coimbatore and Coimbatore Centre for college students from parishes of Coimbatore, Erode, Oddanchatram and Salem. An Audio Devotion series was broadcasted in the month of December during the Advent season. The students actively participated in the Christmas celebration programmes of Coimbatore Mar Thoma Church. Together with the youths of the parish, the students presented a special song. The Coimbatore Students Ministry and the Coimbatore Centre Yuvajana Sakhyam organized a One-Day Retreat for youths and students.
