Mar Thoma Mission Allagadda is a mission project of the Chengannur – Mavelikkara Diocese. Allagadda’s mission includes two main centers, namely Allagadda and Muthalur, which covers 15 remote villages, including the Beggar’s Colony in the region. At present, there are 8 worship centers, a tailoring school, and 10 Balawadies. We aim for the holistic development of this society by bringing them up, and meeting their physical and spiritual needs. The villagers are supported through various schemes like housing aid for building new houses, educational aid, and medical aid. Telugu worship is being conducted on alternate Sundays and Holy Communion in the Telugu language is celebrated at least twice a month. Sunday school meetings, youth meetings, cottage prayer, fasting prayer, open-air meetings, house visits, a film show, medical camp, medical and educational support and V.B.S. programs are conducted for the spiritual and social nourishment of the community.
