Student Ministries - Region wise

  1. The ministry among students who come from Kerala for different courses began in May 2006 in Bellary and this proves to be a blessing for the students. The students are enrolled in the nearby nursing and dental colleges. Through our ministry they are given pastoral and spiritual care. The regular programs include hostel visits, counseling sessions, prayer fellowships, Bible study etc. Weekly worship services are held in Indian college of Nursing. Evangelists Jayan T.G.

  3. Student’s meeting is being conducted at the Annamalai University in Chidambaram. Prayer, bible study, debate regarding currents issues are the topics of discussions in the meeting. In future, we are planning to start Holy Communion Service in the college premises.

    The Student's Ministry in Coimbatore region had a humble beginning nine years back. 

    The Students Ministry covers over 16 colleges in Coimbatore and 10 Colleges in Erode areas and caters to about 200 students in Coimbatore and about 70 students in Erode. Hostel visits, prayer cells, Bible studies, counselling, worship services, retreats, Christmas and Onam programmes are some of the activities of the year.

    Rev. Gino S. Philip   serves as   the   Students Chaplain.

     

  5. The Students' Ministry at Cuddapah caters to the nursing students. Rev Baiju Markose is the students’ chaplain and extends pastoral care to more than 60 students. Holy Qurbana services are held once a month.   
  6. The Mar Thoma Student’s Ministry in Karaikal started as per the vision of Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa. This community was blessed to have its first Holy Communion under the leadership of Tirumeni. Since then it is the dream and aspiration of the student’s community of this area to come together and worship irrespective of their denominations. Holy Communion service is being held once in a month where forty students gather for the worship service. Rev. George John served as the Student’s Chaplain.

  7. Pondicherry known as a tourist center and is fast developing as an educational hub. Students from all over the world come for studies. Regular prayer meeting and Holy Communion is celebrated at the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in every month. A meeting for the students at the Pondicherry University Campus was also started. Prayer, bible study, debate regarding the currents issues are the topics which were discussed in the meeting.  Rev.George John served as the Student’s Chaplain.

Students Ministry at Vellore is mainly focussed on the students of CMC Vellore and VIT Katpadi.  Fellowship meetings for CMC  Allied Health and Medical  Students are conducted every Friday at the Rehabilitation Centre, Baghayam, Fellowship meetings for nursing students are conducted on Saturday evenings in the Hospital Campus. For students of VIT, regular meetings are conducted in their own campus every Wednesday. All these fellowship meetings are led by Rev. Jinu Abraham. Every third Sunday, students visited the patients and their attendants at the Mar Thoma  Guidance Home.
