NEREDMET MISSION

The Neredmet mission was stared in the year 1997. The mission covers five villages : Vinayak Nagar, J.K. Colony, Sai Nagar, Bharat Nagar and Santhosh Hima Nagar. The main activities include health and hygiene classes, awareness building against social evils, women empowerment programmes, VBS, Summer camp, medical camps, counselling classes  and gospel outreach programmes. Rev. Jogy Thomas serves as the missionary and Evg. Mathai serves as the evangelist in this mission.

Mar Thoma Navajeevan Samithi: The Mar Thoma Navajeevan Samithi (registered society), is a novel project started in association with the diocese in the year 1997 by four parishes of Mar Thoma Church in the Twin cities of Hyderabad - Secunderabad. The Samithi has been functioning under the guidance of the Chennai – Bangalore Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church. It has been involved in educational activities, village development programmes and for the empowerment of the poor through different activities. St. Thomas High School, Neredmet, St. Thomas Balawadi, Neredmet and Sneha Bhavan Neredmet are the main programs of Navajeevan Samithi. Rev. Biju S. Cherian Serves as the Vice president, Rev. Jogy Thomas as Secretary and Mr. J. Thampi serves as treasurer

Sneha Bhavan: Sneha Bhavan is a project of Neredmet Mission and it is a unit of Mar Thom Navajeevan Samithi. The Centre is functioning with the direction and guidance of the Chennai- Bangalore Diocese. The objective of the centre is to equip the physically challenged and financially backward children for a better living and to give them proper healthy congenial atmosphere to live in and to be educated. Five students (one physically challenged and four financially backward) studied here in the reporting year and the centre has provided spiritual nourishment and qualitative education. The Sneha Bhavan is financially supported by Bethel Mar Thoma Church, Neredmet. This year the building has been renovated by changing flooring, wall plastering, painting and fixing three wash rooms

St. Thomas Balawadi: In the reporting year 32 students studied in Balawadi. These students are all from financially backward families from the surrounding villages. We collect a monthly fee of Rs. 135 per month. The remaining expenditure incurred from Neredmet Mission. Bethel Mar Thoma Church Sevika Sangam is supporting wholeheartedly for the smooth functioning of the Balawadi. Christmas Program was conducted and gifts were distributed to all the students and parents.

St. Thomas High School, Neredmet: St. Thomas School, Neredmet, Secunderabad is an institution run by the Mar Thoma Navajeevan Samithi (Reg. No. 4282/97) a registered society headed by Chennai – Bangalore Diocese of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. With a view to establish value based education in and around Neredmet village, the dioceses had started St. Thomas High School, in the year 1995 with proper building, spacious class rooms, large play ground having facility for various sports coaching such as Tennis, cricket and Basket Ball. The motto of the School is “To Know, To Love and To Serve”. The school is functioning with 18 teaching staff and 5 non teaching staff and 320 students. This is a Co –educational English Medium School and follows Telengana state Board approved SSC Syllabus. In the reporting year the school conducted various programmes such as Independence Day celebration, Teacher’s day, Children’s day, Republic Day, Talent Review House wise, House wise competitions, Medical Camps, Summer Camp, Sports day, Arts day, Christmas Celebration etc. In the April 2014 the new block of the school with the facilities of library, audio visual room and four class rooms was dedicated Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa. In the reporting year a new computer lab with 25 computers was inaugurated. Rev. Jogy Thomas serves as correspondent and Mrs. Lijy Jogy serves as Headmistress.
